Why Will Gardner is kind of a moron (but I love him anyway)
This is totally dedicated to Nutriyumbars who is kind of forcing me to post this because she’s awesome and it’s her birthday so HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
I changed my relationship status with Will Gardner to ‘It’s complicated’ on Chumhum a while ago. On one hand, he gives me All The Feelings and is an essential part of what makes The Good Wife work, but on the other, he’s kind of a dick. As a character, he cracks me up because here’s a guy who has become a name partner in a major law firm at a pretty young age and yet he is so useless at existing outside the courtroom that you’ve got to question how he survived in TGW’s Chicago as long as he did. This post will attempt to explain what I find interesting about him as a character and the many ways he kind of fails at life and why that does and doesn’t matter. (SO MUCH MORE after the cut)
